15 Dec Islamorada Barrier to Entry
Thinking of building in Islamorada? Think again.
In 2023 all new development will cease to exist in the Florida Keys. Due to the area being designated by the State as an Area of Critical Concern, no new building permits will be issued in the Keys beginning in ‘23, just a few years away. Absolutely none.
The Florida Keys were designated an Area of Critical Concern way back in 1974 due to the mounting pressures of development. As a result, the State of Florida can regulate the use of land within the area.
In an effort to control development in environmentally sensitive areas, for water quality, and to ensure that tourists and residents are able to evacuate safely during a hurricane or other disaster, the State has decided that new development must end.
As a result, there aren’t any land options available for the construction of multi-family homes.
Islamorada, referred to as the Sport Fishing Capital of the World, is a lovely, and pristine place to live or vacation. There’s no better time than now to lock in your piece of paradise by securing a home in The Maison.
Comprised entirely of new architecture, with elegant features and amenities galore, The Maison boasts the only 4-bedroom residences of their kind in Islamorada. Nothing of this magnitude has been built here for nearly 25 years.
And now it’s certain: nothing of its kind will be built. The Maison residences are extremely coveted and deliver an enviable, unsurpassable lifestyle for their lucky owners and guests.
